You Know What Small Feet Mean ...

I am looking for small men's dress socks, preferably a store with an online presence. My foot length is about a size 6.5 (US). I don't know what genius decided that one sock size could fit all sizes between 6 - 13, but it simply ain't so. I'm tired of putting my foot into socks where the sock heel creeps up to my Achilles tendon.
I've tried child-size dress socks, but the largest size is too small and/or tend to not be appropriate for wearing with a suit. And women's socks look like women's socks, so also tend to be inappropriate.
I'm in Southern California, so if you know of a retailer out here (besides Jimmy Au's) then let me know.
Bonus points if you can tell me why I can't find socks for folks with smaller feet, and why in the world manufacturers think that one sock size can fit the 2.5 inches of difference between a size 6 and 13 foot.

it is, in fact, exactly sock porn. i LOVE their stuff. and, i really suggest everyone - boys and girls - get a pair of the extra long tube socks. SO good for the winter.

I would recommend you start looking into "women's" socks.
The socks we sell come in 3 sizes - 9-11 (usually labeled woman's), 10-13 (men's or larger women), and 14-16 (larger men). We don' t specifically label the size 9-11 as women's socks and they are made to fit a size 4-7 Men's shoe size (or 5.5-9 Women's shoe). I believe these are standard sock vs shoe size specifications (pops open in Excel).

It seems hopeless that I'm relegated to buying from the women's and children's socks section to get socks that fit me. Perhaps, blackkar, as a socks salesperson, you have found a niche to exploit. I swear more men than just me need size 9-11 socks.
