What was this CD we listened to?

My Husband and I previewed a CD on display at Ear X-tacy in Louisville this weekend, vowed to remember the name of the artist, then promptly forgot it! We're from out of town. Here's what we (possibly inaccurately) remember: "-landia" was in the CD title. The CD cover was grey / B&W with a graphic design on the front, the music was electronica / orchestral / melodic. I remember thinking the artist might be icelandic / scandinavian from a quick glance at the artist's name, etc.

Probably not it, but there's Of Montreal's The Sunlandic Twins

Wasn't a sigur ros album, was it? The '-landia' doesn't fit but the band description does.

Sigur Rós maybe? They're from Iceland, have some orchestral and electronic elements, have at least one album with a black and white graphic design on the cover, and the singer is often described as singing in a made-up language called "Hopelandic" (which might point to the "-landia" thing you're recalling, if a store clerk had written up a description of the band or something).

Response by poster: I'm familiar with Sigur Rós, so unfortunately this can't be him... It was someone we'd never heard of before.

Best answer: It was Fordlandia by Johann Johannson. I have it; it's good.
