I rather love the Traveler's IQ Challenge. It has a lot of different modes - one being North America, another being just the US. The bonus is that it gives you the name, asks you to plop down the flag where you think it is, and then plops down a flag in the real location. It's great when repeated - especially for people like me who are spatial learners and who thrive on landmarks and distance gauges. posted by greekphilosophy at 9:58 AM on December 29, 2008
The SF Chronicle has a Geography Quiz every year. Not US specific, but nice and challenging for the most part. You could go through and pick out the US only ones if you like. There are links back to the 2006 quiz.
