Recommendations for a Christmas meal in Kauai.

We are staying in Kapaa, but the island is pretty small. Doesn't have to be fancy, but a little festive would be nice. I can't find anything online. Thanks!

hands down my favorite restaurant in kauai is postcards cafe in hanalei. the seafood is insane and the restaurant is in a converted plantation house. cozy, sweet, and charming.

From a Hawaii expert and friend: "Xmas dinner at the Beach House, Gaylord's or Kukui's (Marriott) if they're serving. Ones on the South or East Shore: Coconuts, or Hukilau as alternative ... Mediterranean, on the North Shore."

Personally, I also love Plantation Gardens.

(I'm so jealous that you're on Kauai.)

Seconding purpleclover.
The Beach House is fabulous (have a li hing mui margarita for me, if you go there!) as is Plantation Gardens (cucumber mojitos!) Gaylord's is very popular, but I haven't personally been there (they don't really cater for vegetarians). I'd have to put The Beach House at the top of the list - it also has a panoramic view of the ocean.

I'm also incredibly jealous, I would give almost anything to be on Kauai!
