How much should they pay me?

How much should I reasonably expect to be paid if working as a private consultant designing a tourism project for a city chamber of commerce?

I am working on designed a "Freedom Trail" type project for a medium-sized American capital city. I will be discussing compensation for the project soon. How much should I demand for this type work?

Response by poster: The whole thing, from the ground up. The project creates its own temporary division. Once its off the ground, it becomes absorbed by the Tourism department of the city.

I'll formulate the route, design the brochures, create the downloadable podcast, market the project to local businesses, adovocate with the concerned historical sites, and lobby the city and state government for both moral and financial support.
