Question: Yet another name that tune question

I need help identifying a song, that I thought was in a commercial, but can't remember where I heard it.

There's a song I've heard within the last 6 months, which I could have swore was in a car commercial, but now I can't find that commercial online. The best way I can describe the piece I remember is that it is an electronic song that starts with 3 prominent notes (accent on the middle of the three) then the beat drops in immediately after that. Sort of like this:

Da DA da..boom..tish.baboomboom.tish.ba.boom..tish.baboomboom.tish..Da DA da [then more beat, to end of piece]

My friend and I have been scouring YouTube, AdTunes, and WhatsThatCalled for car commercials of all the major manufacturers and haven't found it yet. Perhaps it wasn't in a car commercial at all, but I don't know. Any ideas?

Do you remember anything else about that ad? What makes you think it was a car ad? Was it a car or SUV? Inside, outside, dark or light environment in the ad? What channel/show were you watching when you saw it? Voice-over? Headline/text/copy in the ad??

It is not the VW commercials. I remember those "dadadas". It was dark, and I thought it was either Cadillac or Pontiac, and the car might have been black or red. The commercial started with shots of the car and a voiceover. When the voice cuts out the music cut in. It was definitely a commercial that would be shown on major networks like ABC, NBC, ESPN, and Fox, because those are the channels I watch most.

This is a total shot in the dark, but could it be Ready Steady Go (music starts 45 seconds in) by Paul Oakenfold? Seems to me this song got a lot of play in car action sequences, but not necessarily in a car ad...

Shot in the dark because I can't decipher your description very well. However, I assure you these songs were in car commercials even though I can't find the actual commercials anywhere. It's the beginning parts of the songs that were in the commercials.

This song was in a Cadillac commercial (I think it was Cadillac): Pete Yorn - Maybe I'm Right
This song was in a Chrysler commercial: Sufjan Stevens - The Perpetual Self, Or "What Would Saul Alinsky Do?"

Nope, it's not "Genesis" by Justice, Pete Yorn, or Sufjan Stevens. It is more like Justice and Paul Oakenfold than Yorn and Stevens.

The name is Battle Without Honor or Humanity by Tomoyasu Hotei. A friend recognized it as from a scene in Kill Bill Volume 1. Could have swore it was in a commercial.

It's been used in commercials for Jaguar (and in a lot of other places) -- maybe that's where you heard it.
