Podcasting Platforms

Podcasting. Yes I get the basic idea behind it (endless hours of "radio" programming available for my automatic download through RSS and replay on my computer or iPod), but I'm being stupid about the software. Do I go with iPodder, or iPodderX? What's the diff? Is there a site that reviews/recommends in this infant medium?

not to derail, but does anyone know good software for this on linux?

I never could get iPodder to add the downloaded files automatically to iTunes so I now use iPodderX and it works pretty well.
