Browser stats of developing countries

I'm looking for statistics on web usage in developing countries...specifically I'd like to look at flash penetration and browser version usage. Does anybody know where I can find such numbers?

I've already seen Adobe's take, but they do not provide enough depth. I would like to examine numbers of specific countries, especially those that receive the most humanitarian aid.

If you gave me a list of countries, I could pull up this info in Google Analytics on a very high-traffic site (basically, what we did in this post but with an additional filter on countries).

Response by poster: That'd be great! A good sampling would be: Georgia, Indonesia, India, Kazakhstan, Peru, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe

Also, would you mind sending me (backchannel would be fine) info on the nature of the site? I want to consider how your site's target demographic would compare to the one I am thinking about.

Thank you!

Best answer: Hmm, I tried to do this, but there are some problems.

1) I think you need a site with higher traffic (at least 10 million uniques per month, whereas mine has 1.5 million).

2) When I tried to create this report, the dataset was too large, so GA resorted to using sampled data. It is obvious from the report that GA is sampling 1/13th of my traffic, since there are so many figures which are a multiple of 13.

3) It seems that my site has a disproportionate number of Firefox users.

4) The stats for Georgia make no sense (I did make sure to filter specifically by country, not by text matching).

5) I think that in countries with few internet users, the users' connections are often provided by ISPs in a different country. So their traffic may be misrepresented.

But here it is anyway, in case you find it interesting:
