Music of The World, Not World Music

Are there any music magazines similar to Songlines, but with a slightly American bent?

I'm trying to find a magazine (print, not electronic), intended for an American audience, that covers the music of the world, but not "world music" (a distinction articulated here). Kind of a "what Rolling Stone, Spin, and Vibe don't cover, all in one magazine, for Americans" kind of thing. Bonus points for broader appeal rather than narrower.

Have you looked at Paste? Or Sing Out? Not sure if they're what you're after - both have a very specific style and market - but check them out.

Paste had a recent international issue that might be of interest.
