How do I open an encrypted file with Encrypt-my-Folder?

I used the program "Encrypt my Folder" to password protect several folders of information. My computer crashed, but I was able to (using a bit-by-bit reconstructive program) get the files back. I know the password to open the files, but when I reinstall the program and enter the password, it just tells me "The Password is Wrong". (It isn't- I kept notes, and have used the same notes to open it for months... this problem has only cropped up since I reinstalled the program. I've tried deleting the program, redownloading, fresh reinstall, to no luck.)

Is there another way to open the "folder" (the encrypted folders show up as a "file"- like a zipped folder does)?

How confidant are you in your recovery efforts? I'm guessing your "bit-by-bit" program program missed a few bits, and your file is corrupted. Do you have any way of verifying the file?

Response by poster: Gotta' admit, I understand all the words you type, but not quite sure what they mean in that order.

What do you mean by "verify"?

(I mean, I can see the file. ... but other than that, I'm not sure- if it helps, I've several of them, and all come up with the same problem. The several hundred photos, documents, and other things I recovered at the same time seem full and complete enough.)

Sorry :) I'm wondering if maybe the whole file wasn't recovered, but if you can open all of the other files you recovered, I guess that's not it.
