Three Democrats from Seattle have found themselves in a hotel across from the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth on election night. Where can we go in public to enjoy Obama's impending victory (or be consoled over his devastating loss) without fear of Red State hate?

The tarrant county democrats are having a big party at the fort worth hilton from 8pm to 1am, if you're interested. I know that because they were telling everyone that would listen when I was doing electioneering last week. Can't say much about the turnout, as I'm sitting at home drinking beer instead of going out anywhere.

Also, I don't know if you're watching the local news but shit is blowing up at the democrat's watch party due to surprisingly good news for us so you might want to go out there. Also, I think they mentioned there's a big contention of dems at gilley's in Dallas.

Yeah. I'd like to tell you not to worry about "red state hate" but I know where I live and I wouldn't be terribly comfortable being around a bunch of mouth-breathers with too much booze in them.

So you think they're going to beat you up in that bar? I live in a formerly red state, and I could go to every bar here, raise my hands, and yell 'go obama!' and I promise you I'd only get a few stares. Not to mention that the difference between a blue state and red state is a matter of percentage points. This isn't black and white as you're suggesting.

But if you want trouble, and the way you phrased your last comment certainly sounds that way, I'm sure you can find it, as anyone can, anywhere. Silly question.

True. Now mouth breathers with too much booze in blue states, they're harmless.

DFW is not a small purely conservative town. It's a huge metropolitan area. One of them cities you hear so much about. No fear of this imagined "red state hate" you speak of.
