Question: Which fruit is this Fruit of the Loom character?

What's the orange guy from "the Fruit of the Loom guys" supposed to be? {come on in}

From the official logo, the only orange thing I see is a kumquat..or something. But that guy in the costume sure isn't a kumquat. Or any other fruit I know of, unless it's rotten. I thought maybe he could be some leaves but I really have no clue.

i figured they would want to stick with their logo, which doesn't have any orange and red leaves in it. Plus, if that costume is leaves, it sucks. bad.
And it doesn't look like any kind of fruit, it looks like a guy in an orange plushy suit. In fact, I'll bet right now somebody on usenet is using that guy for spank material.

The rotten gooseberries serve as a memento mori, a reminder that death is always around the corner. We see the rotten gooseberry character cavorting with his lively, ripe comrades and pause when we realise that his end is near. The antics of these fruit-clad men are meant to amuse and delight us, but the sight of decay amongst them tempers our enjoyment with a touch of sobriety. After a moment's reflection, the sombre feeling transforms into a more fervent , desperate desire for pleasure, for we must live life to the fullest while we still can.

Well, now that we've solved the gooseberry mystery, let's move on to the other people in this photo.

What's with the green grape guy? Is it just me or does he look a bit like GWB? And the older guy in the middle, is he a cardboard cutout? What does Berkshire Hathaway have to do with all of this? Omaha Civic?

So many mysteries!

*explodes*
