Is there a website that will track a particular item and alert you when it's offered at discount?

With all the Black Friday deals soon to come up, there's a particular item I want to purchase at a deep discount. I have no idea if this will be offered anywhere at a reduced rate, but what with the competition between stores and various online retailers offering sometimes rediculous rates for certain items, I'd like to be made aware of any drop in price across a wide spectrum of outlets.

Is there a particular website, or perhaps a group of websites, I can use to track the price of a particular item, and be notified when it drops?

Something along the lines of Kayak, but for products instead of airline tickets.

I believe pricescan does this. On the right side there's a "name your target price" where you can get emailed when it reaches a certain price.

Pricescan looks okay, but when I search for the product I had in mind (something very popular) it only lists a single vendor, so any change in price will be limited to this one, random online shop.

You could put in a deal alert on deal sites like FatWallet and SlickDeals (link only works if you're logged on). Just put in keywords describing the item and they'll email you them if someone on the site posts a deal. Black Friday deals are these sites' bread and butter.

Savvy Circle does this, but only for clothes. It's quite reliable and useful.
