Help me identify this sitcom office chair

Can you identify this desk chair or something very similar?

I am looking for a very specific desk chair -- I saw one very similar on a recent episode of the sitcom The Big Bang Theory. I love the orange, but black or dark gray options would be great as well. Ideally online or locally purchased in the Boston/MetroWest area.

Best answer: It's apparently an Eames Management chair. You might be able to find a used one or a knock-off if the price upsets you a bit (which it probably should).

Response by poster: Yowza. I am definitely going to going the knock-off route. This looks like a suitable (though not nearly as posh) alternative for my purposes.

While you might find that chair for less, the price should not upset you. With the better quality leather, it is a great chair and very well crafted. That said, I bought mine off the floor of a DWR store (with some minor scratches) and saved some cash. You can pay for that quality and have a chair which will last multiple lifetimes (and keep some resale value). Then again, maybe that is not among your purposes.

I agree with Dick Paris......That chair, especially if you can find a deal on it, will probably not lose much value over time.......and can be something passed on to future users.

Those chairs typically sell on ebay in the $250-$400 range. Search for "Eames Aluminum Group."

Also, they're not very comfortable.

…for a softlord, at least. I am quite comfortable in mine.
