Replacing a Furnace

Should I replace my dying oil furnace with oil or gas? A year ago gas would have been a no-brainer, but now gas supplies are increasingly constrained, while locally-produced biodiesel supplies are starting to come online.

(The obvious advantages of gas: cleaner and less maintenance. But I'm thinking long term energy supply here.)

Heck, even if the local supply were to dry up, you could make your own biodiesel.
