I am going to a friend's baby shower this saturday and he's an old punk. I was going to get him a misfits onsie, but my dickweed friend stole my idea. So- I am looking for something better that I can get in the East Bay or shipped to me before saturday. Any ideas?

I've seen both a roulette Wheel of Responsibility, and a lullaby album of punk covers go over very well as a snarky baby shower gift. Both are much, much more fun than a Misfits onesie!

How about a Ramones onsie?. In fact that store seems to have a lot of appropriate stuff. I also like this Johnny Cash one...

Also remember: not all punks like(d) the Misfits or the Ramones. Do some research.

Not sure if you can get hold of it but the Punk versions of lullabies cd might get a laugh.

You can get baby-sized Chuck Taylors (although be advised that they run big... if this baby isn't born yet it will be a long time before he/she can wear even the smallest size.) So cute!

there's a whole online storefront of "lullaby" albums based on the music of different rock bands -- a couple of those may be fun.

And there are LOADS of snarky onesies out there. And presumably someone is on eBay selling their own homemade versions (this is how another friend of mine got a Bruce-Springsteen-"Born-To-Run" onesie for her daughter). Search eBay for the band of your choice and you'll probably find something.

A year's supply of temp tatoos for the baby?

My buddy got me a Social Distortion onesie...not this one, but something like that.

Go to the army surplus store and get him a camo diaper bag, or try searching etsy for a good punked out diaper bag.

Or, if they're planning on using cloth diapers, there are plenty of cool "punk" cloth diaper designs.

Ridiculously cute onesie sets here.

A tiny work shirt, with the arms ripped off and punk band buttons all over it.

Sort of like that.

Check out the baby gear at T-Shirt Hell. Plenty of irreverent baby stuff there. The shipping FAQ looks like you could get it by Saturday IF you ordered today.

Safety pins. Fun for dad and baby alike.

Punk band (or country super star) onesies are ok but a bit trite.
Local artist weirdo onesies are better.
I live in Austin, so they are legion.
The East Bay can't be much different.
Onesies that say "Daddy drinks because I cry." are great as well.

DIY onesies are way better and cheaper. Go buy cloth patches and hand sew them on. Added plus is that they are easily moved to larger clothes.
Another thought is to find the art you like and do some homemade silk screening

From experience as a father; personal and/or homemade is always better. Especially for crusty old punks.

Baby-size Chucks are indeed adorable, but they are really hard to get on a kid's foot because they are so floppy.

Check out this store too. They have the CDs and the onesies and some other fun stuff as well.

Best onsie I ever saw: a photo transfer of the parents, with "QUESTION AUTHORITY" written underneath.
