Have you grown up on antidepressants?
Is there anybody out there who has 'grown up' on antidepressants, i.e., folks in the 25-35 age range who've taken antidepressants for multiple years, starting as teens or during college-age?
I'm a writer working on an article about long-term antidepressant use. (FWIW, I've struggled with depression/anxiety and taken medication for it myself, though this article is not about me). I am interested in emailing or talking with people about their use of antidepressants. The piece is, broadly, about how people feel about their antidepressants: love/hate, ambivalence, attempts to quit, gratitude, identity/authenticity issues, etc.
Please forgive my using AskMe for this non-traditional question/request, but I can't think of a community more likely to have thoughtful, interesting takes on the issue.
MeFi mail me or respond here for more info. Thanks.
