Is there a way to receive CBC in Seattle, without going through Comcast?

CBC streamed all of their hockey coverage last year at CBC Sports. I don't know if they stream anything else, but I wouldn't be surprised.

You should check satellites. Ask a sat shop near you.

I've gotten reception over the air when I lived in North Seattle on top of one of the hills. So there is the antenna option if your location is good. Or you could try this CBC Vancouver live link.

StarChoice is a CDN satellite TV operator - ask at some local shops satellite TV shops and they should be able to hook you up quasi-legally.
