Why won't a PDF's form fields print?

I have a PDF form that I modified from an existing PDF form, adding a new page and a few new fields. The new fields I added are visible on the screen but not visible when I print the form. Other parts of the form work fine, it is only 4 text fields I added. Other checkboxes work and show up fine. I am fairly inexperienced with editing PDFs and using LiveCycle Designer (I have version 7) and can't figure out what the heck I'm missing and I can't extract anything from the help guide.

My first thought: When you select one of the problem fields, check the Object > Field palette and make sure the "Presence" selection is set to "Visible." It may be set to "Visible (Screen Only)," in which case it will not print.

Response by poster: OK, I checked the Presence option but I only have Visible, Invisible, and Hidden and I currently have it set to Visible. From what I am able to dig up, Visible (Screen) only came about in version 8.

On the print dialog, there should be a drop-down box labeled "Comments and Forms." Well, at least there should be in Acrobat. I had similar problems with printing modified forms (from Acrobat) until I picked a different option in that drop-down, although I'm fuzzy on what option it was. "Documents and Markups," maybe? Changing that setting is worth a try, though.
