Multiple Users, Mail & IMAP

At my work, multiple users access a single IMAP account via webmail. Is there any way I can configure my Mail.app so I can use this account without altering the mailbox on the server? I'd like to delete and move messages about on Mail while leaving the emails as they are for everyone else. Thanks!

Best answer: I don't think so. You could, instead, set up the account in Mail.app as a POP account and tell it to never delete messages from the server.

The other alternative is to see if you can get get an automatic forward setup and have it go to a new IMAP account that you and only you use.

Either see if you can use POP as Good Brain suggests, or you could perhaps set up a rule that copies every message to a folder in another account, so you can then delete and move those copies.
