OldFinancialInformationFilter: Figuring out cost basis for John Hancock Income Securities Trust (JHS) under its previous CUSIP.

I'm trying to track down the closing price for John Hancock Income Securities Trust (JHS) for the following dates:

March 17, 1973
Sept 6, 1973
Sept 7, 1973

According to this page, the fund was created Feb 14, 1973, and changed its CUSIP on Dec 31, 1984. The former CUSIP number was #410122105, and apparently the symbol JHS was assigned in 2000.

I can find prices for the fund as far back as 1991, but no earlier.

[you guys did a great job last time I had a question like this.]

Best answer: I used to work at a mutual fund company, and we had a research department that answered these kinds of questions by going through microfilm. We had it for all of our predecessor companies as well.

Having the old CUSIP would be a huge help.
