Food suggestions for tonight's debate party?

Having friends over for a debate party-slash-dinner-slash-salon, and probably next time too, so I need theme food suggestions for (a) tonight's VP debate and (b) the next two Presidential debates, both of the dinner and snack variety.

Mooseburgers seems like a slam dunk winner tonight, but I'm not sure I can find a butcher shop in Manhattan with moose meat. Help?

Other than that all I can think of are waffles.

Moose burgers was my first inclination as well. I figured though, if I couldn't have actual Moose, a regular burger with crinkle cut fry antlers and black olive eyes would have to suffice, which may be a bit too cutesy for your tasty, so ymmv.

Here's a recipe for a Bocci Bail (out):
1. Vodka - 1 oz.
2. Orange Juice - fill
3. Amaretto - 1 oz.

and one for a Maverick:
1 1/2 oz vodka
1/2 oz triple sec
1/2 oz amaretto almond liqueur
1 oz pineapple juice
2 tsp Galliano® herbal liqueur

Shake ingredients with ice; strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice.

Peach blossoms are also conveniently the state flower of Delaware. Perhaps you could do something with the state bird: chicken satay with blue food coloring? (Then again, I don't think I'd eat that myself.)

Alsaka's even better in the symbology, but if you can find some way to tie in the state flower (the forget-me-not) or the state fossil(!) to food...I'm out of ideas.
