Question: updating my ipone and "notes"

reformatting iphone and notes

I have a cracked ipone on 1.1.3. I never updated with the new package release this summer b/c I was happy with my setup. Now I see a few programs have worked out their bugs and i want to reformat my ipone and set it up again. What I'm wondering (which is super important) is if I go from my cracked iphone to the new firmware will i lose all of my "notes"? I cannot loose my notes! I need a definative answer b/c losing them would be baaad! and if so, is there a way to do it so I can keep them?
thanks!
Without knowing a lot about the 1.1.3->2.1 jailbreak process, can't you just use the "Share" or "Email" button to send them to yourself?

iTunes will back up your disk image before you upgrade, and you can restore from it worst case, even if it's pwned etc. But that's worst case scenario, I still have all my notes after all this time going from 1.1.1 to 1.1.3 to 1.1.4, to 2.0 and 2.1. Enjoy!
