Aaaargh! I have AIG Life Insurance (in Canada). Should I be worried?

I have AIG life insurance here in Canada. I just paid a bill for next year's coverage. Should I be worried about AIG (life) insurance going down the tubes?

Best answer: Agreed. From what I understand their insurance business is still quite profitable and will remain intact. If you were leasing an airplane from them, that might be another story.

Corporately containerized. I wouldn't worry.

AIG (Canada) is very, very insulated from AIG (USA). I just met a bunch of Canadian AIG folks; they're concerned about their US colleagues, but Canada is just fine.
