How bright is it in Poland?

Will I need sunglasses in central europe?

About to go to Poland/Czech Republic/Germany (east) for a month and I can't find my prescription sunnies. Argh. I'm currently trying to save all my pennies to spend on wurst and beer so I'd prefer not spending the money to replace them. Am I going to regret this?

I'm probably going to have to replace them fairly soon, as we're heading into summer in Sydney.

It should be easy to find an inexpensive clip-on sunglass attachment that will fit on your regular glasses.

I'm just back in .au from Scotland and northern france. You'll get away without your sunnies, compared to the searing australian sun. In Melbourne they don't tend to wear their sunnies in winter, and poland is much higher lattitude than there.

you'll be fine. yes, that part of europe will see sun but it's not going to be that much of a a problem as it would be were you to go to spain.

Best answer: I was in all three of those countries last October, without sunglasses. You'll be fine. There will be some sunny days, but nothing strong enough to cause a prolonged wince.
