Question: Who let the brontosaurus out?

What is going on in this Southern California arroyo and what's with the dinosaurs all over the place?

I was taking the backroads through Riverside and as I was on Prospect Ave (just north of Citrus St) at the Riverside/Highgrove border, I spotted some kind of construction project in the arroyo northwest of the intersection. What really caught my eye were the dinosaur sculptures of varying size that were place throughout the arroyo.

Using Google Earth and the address of 614 Prospect Ave, Highgrove, Ca, a brontosaurus is visible to the right of the double utility poles when the pic is scrolled to the west. That address doesn't come up at the right place on Google maps, but the arroyo is visible here in much lower resolution than available in Google Earth.

From this search on Roadside America:

Riverside, California - Dinosaurs

I have noticed these dinosaurs for years visible from the 60 freeway in Riverside, CA. They are at the Jurupa Mountains Cultural Center. There are eight large dinosaurs up on the hillside.

I have really only seen this place from the fwy and have not visited it yet. You apparently take a walking tour through the Jurupa Mountain Cutural Center; at the end of the tour you will find fossils. [Samantha Ramirez, 06/18/2002]

Dinosaurs:
Address: Riverside, CA
Directions: Jurupa Mountains Cultural Center, 7621 Granite Hill Dr., just off the 60 fwy in Riverside, CA.
Admission: $5.
Hours: 8 am to 4:30 pm Tuesday thru Saturday (closed Mondays). (Call to verify)
Phone: 909-685-5818

Sorry, MsMolly, the Cultural Center is in Pedley, probably 10-12 miles west of Highgrove where this arroyo is.

Hmm, this is close enough to my house that I may have to investigate and come back with something if someone doesn't give you an answer sooner.
