I just downloaded Dry Lips by Lightspeed Champion and I really enjoy the uplifting beat and tone. However, the other songs on the album (at least from the 30 second clips) do not seem to have that same uplifting tone.
Anyone have recommendations for other uplifting indie rock singles or album I should take a look at if I enjoy Dry Lips by Lightspeed Champion.
On preview - "This Year" really did get me through a year a year or so ago. (Not so much the video, though.)

Knee-jerk suggestion: Dr. Dog's cover of Heart It Races, originally by Architecture in Helsinki. It is the catchiest, most feel-good indie rock-pop song I've heard in the last year, and I furiously love it.
For a good Architecture in Helsinki song, I've also had a love affair with The Owls Go.
More: Mental by Pipas Fools and Ashley (not on yt) by The Dodos White Winter Hymnal by Fleet Foxes (also other Fleet Foxes songs... the list of similar albums provided by amazon in that link is pretty on.) Bros and Comfy In Nautica by Panda Bear... plus Take Pills, but the intro requires a little more patience
Other recommendations that I feel really obvious in suggesting: Sufjan Stevens (certain songs more uplifting than others, but definitely has the layers of instrumentation), The Arcade Fire (particularly Keep the Car Running off their most recent album; maybe also Antichrist Television Blues)... and I think I'll stop there.
On Preview:
I nth "This Year," and also second Heartbeats... although personally I prefer The Knife's original version if I'm going for "upbeat/uplifting." The Gonzalez cover is more introspective to my ear. posted by dorothy humbird at 12:55 PM on September 1, 2008
