Where can I park for free in Brooklyn tomorrow afternoon?

Where can I find on street parking in Brooklyn, tomorrow that is close to a subway stop?
I have an interview in downtown Manhattan tomorrow and I would like to avoid paying $60 to park in a garage like I have in the past. So I'm thinking I could park somewhere in Brooklyn and then take the subway to my interview. Only problem is I don't know Brooklyn at all! However I have been told there is plenty of on street parking there.
I intend to park around 2 or 3 and return around 7. Ideally, I would park somewhere within a short walking distance of the J,M,Z or 2,3. Less ideally, but still ok would be 1, 4, 5, or A, C. The more specific about where I can park the better (such as cross streets as opposed to entire regions or neighborhoods, as I get lost easily). Thanks!

There is no 1 train in Brooklyn. Also, don't count on getting parking in downtown Brooklyn , as that is as hard as Manhattan.

One of the side streets between 4th and 5th avenue that is near the Atlantic Pacific stop should be ok for you and I think street cleaning ends around 12:30 so you should be ok.

Yes, Lorimer is good and also Myrtle Ave. is good for parking. You should have no problem.

So you're driving from DC? If that's the case, why not park in Jersey and take the PATH train? Driving to Brooklyn would seem to make no sense (dealing with Staten Island traffic, Verrazano, in addition to Turnpike). Unless you're coming from elsewhere.

If youre coming in from D.C. I would park in Jersey and take PATH or NJT to Penn Station. Otherwise there's plenty of parking in North Brooklyn (Williamsburg, Greenpoint, etc) that will give you access to the JMZ, L or G.

Response by poster: Thanks everyone! I ended up parking in Hoboken and taking the train, was far easier (and cheaper) than I initially thought it would be. Now hopefully I will get the job...
